I bought a 12”x24” sheet of Cordura in Multicam Arid from Ranger Wraps. My initial thought was to cut it and use a drafting board and X-Acto knife to properly cut out the rest for the RovEdge battery/tripod combo. Now that I’m looking at it, I’m thinking about using a good plastic primer and then rattle can it with Rustoleum in Sand. I’ll still cover the edges of the actual satellite dish but I’m not sure if that amount of tint is worth all the fuss. Opinions??
We do use the Starlink Mini for outdoor comms in our combined UAS classes so it’s part of the kit when each team goes out.
If you’re considering the RovEdge Mk-1, my only complaint is there’s no way to see how much battery life you have left. I like the fact that theres no long cable to get tangled, a separate mount needed, no need to get the exact angle of elevation, etc. I’ve seen that’s battery life is anywhere between 7-8 hours and but again, there no way to tell other than light a that flashes when it’s getting low. We don’t use that feature because the whole point of camouflaging it is for the teams to not get spotted.
Lastly, that photo looks like I took a picture of a computer monitor. The Cordura fabric has tiny lines in the fabric that you can’t really see but it definitely distorts the photos.

This portable power station and tripod in one is perfect. It has a really big battery capacity and lasted about 6 hours for me.I really like the butterfly top screw (official name... just kidding I don't know what it's called.) I like that it doesn't require a hex screwdriver (is that what it is called?). I don't like that the circular dish is plastic and kind of wish it is metal so it's more sturdy, but that's my only nitpick with this product.The tripod opens with a button and it's very stable. It also comes with a light that has green, yellow colors, but i need to read the instructions because I can't figure out how to pick the color.All in all, perfect for camping or working remotely.As a side note, the packaging is beautiful and very fancy looking... not that it affects the product, but it felt like i should have my white gloves on and pinky up when opening the box.

I got this after seeing "Battery pack for camping" and seeing near 200WH rating. I thought for camping I'd be able to get a fair choice of power selection. In reality this has one USB-C for input or output and one "Starlink" 30V port. My camping gear still runs off 12V power, so a 30V source is too high and 5V USB power is too low. So besides charging my cell phone, not sure how useful it is without getting other power converters (or I'm way behind the curve on modern systems).I did charge it with my cell charger (after trying a solar panel with a USB adapter that didn't work). It tells you what's happening with red LED for low battery, yellow LED for mid and green LED for over 60%. While running things the LED does a slow "Breathing" pulse, while charging it does a faster blink, and solid green is 100% charged. Those can make it easy to tell status so you know what's going on. With it taking overnight to fully charge it seems the battery took a lot of juice (hinting the size), yet I've not fully drained it with something to really test that.
