Start with the surface
Choose firm, stable ground with room for the equipment and a clear cable route. Check that all tripod feet are supported and that the setup is away from moving vehicles and walking paths.
Use the Starlink app to assess sky view. A clear view and a stable location are both needed when choosing the position.
Secure and inspect the setup
Fit the intended adapter and secure the mounting connection according to the setup guide. Keep the cable from pulling on the terminal or the power source.
Check the complete installation after it is moved. Correcting the terminal position alone does not check for a strained cable or loosened connection.
Reassess when conditions change
The available MK-1 documentation does not establish a wind-speed rating for the tripod system. Do not treat a portable setup as wind-proof.
If the ground softens, the equipment moves, the cable is pulled or the weather makes the site unsuitable, stop and reassess. Use a mounting system designed for the application when an exposed or permanent installation is required.
Keep the setup easy to check
MK-1 integrates a telescopic tripod with the power station and a 1/4-inch top mounting interface. Follow the intended Mini adapter and installation instructions.
Inspect the mount, cable, connectors and surroundings during use. Avoid unapproved modifications or improvised anchoring that could damage the equipment.
